COMMISSIONING

We provide professional airflow testing and commissioning for domestic extractor fans, ensuring they achieve the ventilation rates required by Building Regulations Approved Document Part F (2021 edition).

Whether the fan has been installed by us or another contractor, we can carry out independent airflow testing using calibrated equipment to measure the actual extract rates. This confirms whether the system is performing as intended and provides reassurance that the installation complies with the relevant Building Regulations.

We can also commission Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems where a professional ventilation design, including the required airflow rates, has been produced. However, for the best results, we prefer MVHR systems to be designed by our approved ventilation designers. They are a highly experienced and competent ventilation design consultancy who produce fully compliant ventilation designs tailored to each property.

Using an approved design ensures the system is correctly specified from the outset, allowing for a smoother and more efficient installation. It also greatly increases the likelihood of achieving the required airflow rates during commissioning, helping to ensure the completed system complies with Building Regulations and performs efficiently for years to come.
